Know Your Way Around The Amalfi Coast

There are many ways to get around the area with frequent public transport ready to take you around the coastline. The SITA bus network travels all over the Amalfi coast, travellers need to book their tickets in advance from one of the many ticket stalls around the area.

There is a ferry service that runs each year starting from the Easter weekend which connects Amalfi town to Positana, Capri, Naples and Sorrento. There are several boats running throughout the day with tickets available to be purchased on the piers of each area. Private boat charters are also available. There are two main train stations that serve the Amalfi Coast located in Salerno and Sorrento. Both stations offer travel around the local area and to Naples and Rome. One of the most common ways to get around the Amalfi Coast is by car hire with car hire companies located around the region. Many of the smaller towns are only accessible by hire car however the roads are often very narrow and not for the fainthearted!
